Insulation Contractors Salem, Oregon

Choosing an insulation contractor comes down to three things: experience with Oregon buildings, professional equipment, and a crew that stands behind the work.

Installation Done Right

Spray foam is only as good as its installation. Our installers work with professional rigs, wear full protective equipment, and lay down even, continuous coverage: walls, attics, rim joists and crawl spaces, in new construction and retrofits alike. The result is an envelope without the voids and compression that undermine batt and blown-in jobs. We also install injection foam where closed walls make spraying impractical.

Residential and Commercial

We insulate homes, garages, shops and metal buildings across Salem and Keizer. Start with our attic insulation or crawl space insulation service, or call (971) 299-7076 for your free estimate.

What Separates One Insulation Contractor From Another

Almost anyone can spray foam. What differs is what happens before and after. A contractor worth hiring inspects the building rather than quoting from a square-footage figure over the phone, writes down the product, the thickness and the exact areas covered, and tells you plainly where the work will not help. A quote that says only "insulate attic" with a number beside it contains nothing anyone can be held to.

Four Questions Worth Asking Before You Sign

Ask which product is being installed and at what installed thickness, because "spray foam" covers two materials that behave very differently. Ask whether the existing insulation is being removed or covered, and why. Ask who physically does the work, the company's own crew or a subcontractor. Ask what happens to the attic ventilation once the roof line is sealed. Straight answers to those four tell you how a company works.

Open Cell and Closed Cell Are Not Interchangeable

Open cell is lighter and softer, fills a cavity completely and air seals as it expands. It costs less and suits interior walls, standard exterior cavities and most attic roof lines. Closed cell is dense and rigid, gives a higher R-value per inch, adds stiffness and acts as a vapour retarder at thickness, which earns its place in shallow cavities, on metal buildings and in crawl spaces. A contractor who only ever specifies one is specifying what they carry.

Why Oregon Buildings Underperform Even With Insulation Present

The fault here is rarely missing material. It is air moving through the envelope, carrying moisture with it through a long wet season. Conditioned air escapes at the ceiling plane and damp outside air replaces it, which is why a house can hold the rated depth of insulation and still be expensive to heat and still feel damp. Sealing the air path is what makes the insulation above it worth anything.

Questions

Common questions

Are you local to Salem?

Yes. Our crews work across Salem and the surrounding communities, on buildings that live in this climate.

Do I get a written scope?

Yes. The estimate names the product, the installed thickness and the exact areas included before any work begins.

Residential or commercial?

Both. Homes, garages, additions, metal buildings and commercial property get the same process.
